## What Marmelade is *not*
Marmelade is not a DAW, and it isn’t a wave editor. There’s no cutting, pasting, or rearranging, you can’t stitch the good bits of different takes into one composite track. That’s on purpose. The idea is to make peace with the fact that a jam is imperfect: find one honest slice of it, make it sound as good as it can, and share it.
In a world where everything is endlessly polished and producers pour countless hours into chasing perfection, maybe a single unpolished minute, no AI, no goals, no agenda, is the very thing that gives someone else permission to create without limits.
